How to apply
Option 1: IREMBO (Online)
You can apply for a Criminal Record Certificate through IREMBO HERE.
Option2: AT THE EMBASSY
- A signed application letter addressed to the Prosecutor General, National Public Prosecution Authority, Kigali – Rwanda: indicate the full physical and postal address, telephone number and e-mail address.
- Filled Criminal Record Certificate APPLICATION FORM
- Copy of valid Rwandan Passport: only relevant pages, including a bio-page (photo, names, date and place of birth etc), entry visa etc
- Copy of valid Resident Permit,
- Recently taken colored passport-size photos (with clearly seen ears and cheeks from the front view and white background): in jpg format
- For those living outside Japan: Make transfer of *JPY9,500 to Embassy bank account (see bank account details below):
- For those living in Japan: transfer the total amount JPY3,800.
- Postage charges when sending document and receiving criminal certificate will be borne by client.
- You are advised to send the document through either EMS/DHL/FEDEX (ohter than Japan) or any other fast courier service providers of your choice.
Amount *JPY9,500 includes:
- JPY3,800: Clearance fee (Non-Refundable/Non-Transferable):
- JPY4,000: This is compulsory bank charges: please ask your local bank if there is no an intermediary bank between them and our local bank (Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd), if there is then you need to add JPY3,000 (charges for an intermediary bank): this does not include the transfer charges of your local bank.
- JPY1,900: for the handling (postage) charges when sending the original document to you.
