Filming Permit for Foreign Media

The Rwanda Embassy Tokyo welcomes all foreign media wishing to film in Rwanda.  Prior to traveling, you need to obtain a Filming Permit.  There are two methods to apply: submit your application to the responsible office or apply using the online system ‘Irembo’.  Submit the application form and required documents.

How to apply

Option 1: Apply using the online system

Access the  ‘IREMBO’.  Application for a Filming Permit.

Option 2: Submit your application to the responsible office

1.  Download the Filming Permit form
2. Complete the application form and prepare the supporting documents
3. Send all required documents to the Rwandan Academy of Language and Culture (info@ralc.gov.rw) and copy them to the Rwanda Embassy Tokyo (info@japan.embassy.gov.rw ).
