19th Umushykirano was held in Kigali.
19th Umushykirano was held on 23th and 24th January 2024 with fruitful discussions as many citizens’ issues ranging from social, economic and governance were addressed this year. Umushyikirano is an annual event chaired by the President Paul Kagame that gives Rwandans from all walks of life the opportunity to ask direct questions directly to their leaders. The word Umushyikirano translates to a meeting where participants are able to exchange ideas, share experiences and question each other, which is known as the National Dialogue Council today.
The event is attended by members of the Cabinet and Parliament, representatives of the Rwandan community abroad, local government, media, the diplomatic community and others invited by the President.
